We took
photographs of stuffed birds in glass cases using the tripod stands. We put a
piece of plain white paper behind it so that we had a clear background. We took
photographs at all angles of the bird. We then uploaded them to the computer.
Once we had uploaded them we then edited them in photoshop. We dragged the
chosen image onto photoshop went into image- adjustments- levels we clicked on
a tool which allows the background to go white and if you drag the black arrow
along then it makes the main image of the bird go darker. Once we had completed
this we went into image- adjustments- colour balance and we moved the arrow up
and down the levels so that my chosen bird looked more to its colour. We also
used a tool which made the colours blend in so the edges of the glass box
weren’t visible.
The
feedback I received was good and we talked about what could be edited in the
future on one of the photographs I took.
Two things that went well. Firstly I think that blending the backgrounds in so that the
bird looked like it wasn’t in a box went well. And secondly I also think taking the photographs of the bird at all
different angles went well.
I could
work on using the blending tool a bit better so it looked like it blended in
better.
